I grew up in Toronto, Canada and attended McMaster University before obtaining my Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Case Western Reserve University in Ohio. Dr. Yip convinced me that Texas is the best state for us after meeting her in dental school. (Of course, she was right.) We got married soon after we moved to Texas and we are blessed with two wonderful boys. After practicing dentistry as an associate for ten years, Dr. Yip and I decided to open our own practice that would better fit our visions and goals – a patient-focused practice that provides the highest standards of personalized dental care.  
I am consistently looking for new techniques and knowledge to advance my skills.  With over 1000 continuing education hours, my patients benefit from the up-to-date comprehensive care that I am able to provide.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Science from the University of Texas at Dallas before attending Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, where I graduated with my degree in Dental Medicine. I have been in the dental field for over 13 years, starting as a dental assistant in 2003. My draw to dentistry comes from my LOVE of building relationships with people. Little did I know how it would end up impacting my life and bringing me a husband and two beautiful boys. I pride myself and my dental team on our ability to provide professional care with advanced technologies. I enjoy all aspects of family and cosmetics dentistry, but with extensive experiences in pediatrics dentistry and being a mother of two little ones, I especially enjoy helping and treating pediatric patients.  
When I am not working hard to care for your smile, I love traveling and spending time with my family and kids.  My favorite food is crawfish – between my 4 years old and I, we can down 10 lbs no problem!

Hi everyone! My name is Sofia and I was born and raised in Dallas Texas. I have a beautiful four year old son, soon to be five! I love spending time with him when I am not busy helping people achieve their beautiful smiles. I have been a patient coordinator for three years and I am looking forward to many more years of experience. Our sweet staff is just a phone call away and you too can become a part of our sweet squad family!

I was born in the beautiful State of North Carolina and moved to Texas when I was 9 years old. I began in the Dental field as a dental assistant in 2019. I transitioned into a Patient Care Coordinator role in 2021. I absolutely love interacting with patients in this role, it is a much better fit for my personality! I am passionate about all things dental. My love for dental came from seeing the transformational power of dentistry in my own life. In my free time you can find me chasing around my very silly, active 2 year old son, Josiah as well as loving on my 9 year old son, Lincoln. Being a mother is my number one joy! I am excited that my family is growing this year and I will be welcoming my first daughter by the end of 2024. I was born in Mexico and moved to Texas when I was 8 years old. I have been here my whole life and I don’t think I will move at this point. With the help of my parents’ motivation, I decided to get into dental school a couple of years after I graduated highschool. I have been assisting for 7 years now and only worked in one other office prior to Sweet Family Dentistry. During the 7 years working in the dental field I had a daughter. My daughter is 5 years old now and she keeps me on my feet with all of her energy! At times I feel like I’m raising 3 kids instead of one, but I love it.

Sweet Family Dentistry makes me feel like I’m at home and we hope our patients feel the same way during their time at our office!

I was born and raised here in Rowlett Texas. Before starting in the dental field I was a cosmetologist for about a year. I graduated dental assisting school in January 2022 and I am passionate about what I do now! I love watching football, my favorite team is the Kansas City Chiefs! Also, I’m obsessed with cow print. Some of my hobbies include making crafts, fishing, and being outdoors. I am currently working to advance my dental career further to become a dental hygienist.
